BEFORE. (May 22nd, 2012) Two weeks passed since we started to speak to one another. There was no confusion or awkwardness between us whenever he took the seat beside me without even asking. Fourth period was like our ritual, the time we spoke in secrecy. Today, I expected the same as I have been for the last few classes. Being one of the first students in class, I took out my notebook, waiting for the class to begin as I casually watched people enter. As a cluster of classmates loudly stumbled in, I caught a glimpse of Nolan before he strolled right past our seat and to the back where Garrett Preston was. Slightly hurt. I should have known we weren't friends. At that point, I didn't think I would actually do what I did next. I mean, sure I was disappointed and hurt that the last couple of classes were nothing meaningful, but did I really have to eavesdrop? Well, I guess the answer was yes... "You alright, man?" "Nah. I think I got ripped off on the drugs. They're definitely ! not as satisfying as they were before. I might have to get something stronger," Nolan informed nonchalantly, a small, hearty chuckle escaping his lips. I dropped my pencil hearing this come out from him. Yes, I knew Nolan had troubles and there were many rumours about them circulating, but were they actually true? I shiver. The whole time we were speaking in class, we both avoided the topics about our personal problems, but were they actually like this? "Well if you do, get some too alright?" Garrett ...
